CALENDULA // Calendula Flower Petals // Farm Grown Botanical
Calendula Flowers (Calendula officinalis), also known as Pot Marigold, are cherished for their vibrant golden petals and long history of traditional use. These whole dried flowers are carefully harvested and gently dried to preserve their natural color, texture, and botanical integrity.
Calendula is widely valued in herbal and botanical traditions and is commonly used in teas, infused oils, salves, bath blends, and skincare formulations. Its bright petals also make a beautiful addition to facial steams, herbal blends, and botanical crafts.
Naturally aromatic and visually striking, calendula brings both beauty and versatility to everyday rituals. Each batch is unique, with natural variations in color and petal size reflecting the season and growing conditions. Thoughtfully prepared and simply packaged, this is a timeless botanical staple for those who appreciate high-quality, natural ingredients.
USES
To prepare as a tea, pour 8 oz. boiling water over 1 Tbsp. of herb. Cover and steep 5-10 minutes, strain and serve immediately.
To make calendula skin care oil, place one cup of calendula flower petals in a non-reactive container such as a glass jar. Cover with one cup of a high quality oil such as extra-virgin olive oil or almond oil, stir well, adding more oil if needed to keep the calendula completely submerged. Stir daily. When the oil takes on the color and aroma of the calendula (about a week), strain out all of the flowers, squeezing them well to remove as much of the oil as possible. Place in a glass jar and let stand for a few days to let any sediment remaining fall to the bottom of the jar. Draw oil off the sediment and store in a tightly sealed glass container. Keep in a cool, dark place. Use the oil as a massage, skin care oil or as a base for salves. Adding a little vitamin E to the finished calendula flower oil will help increase its shelf life.
Suggested Uses
Enjoy as a tea, and use in DIY skin care products.

DETAILS
Our calendula flowers are grown right here on our farm with intention, patience, and respect for the land. From seed to harvest, these vibrant blooms are cared for without the use of pesticides, herbicides, or synthetic fertilizers. We allow calendula to grow as it naturally should — slowly, seasonally, and in harmony with the surrounding soil, pollinators, and weather.
Each flower is hand-harvested at peak bloom, when color and integrity are at their best. Immediately after harvest, the blossoms are transferred to our low-temperature herbal drying system, where they are slow-dried to preserve their natural color, structure, and aromatic qualities. This gentle drying process prevents scorching or overdrying and ensures the flowers retain their true botanical character — without the need for artificial colorants, preservatives, or additives.
What you receive is pure calendula: whole flowers and petals with their natural golden-orange hue intact, just as they appear in the field. We do not bleach, dye, or enhance our botanicals in any way. The color you see is the color grown by the sun.
